High above the Chiana valley rises the city of Cortona, one of the most attractive towns in our area. With its many squares, sometimes steep streets, galleries, theatre and festivals, it offers a very rich cultural life, a good variety of inteersting stores and good restaurants.

Just outside Cortona are the Renaissance church of Santa Maria Nuova and, one of our favorite locations, the hermitage of "Le Celle" where you can still visit the cell which Saint Francis and some of his followers have caved into the rock.
A very special and almost mystic place !
