Although Castellucio on the Grand Piano, situated on a high mountain plain, and the town of Norcia, famous for sausages and ham made from wild boar and pork, is a bit further away, it is worth planning a day trip through the Apennine mountains.

The view over the Grand Piano is absolutely stunning, also because the colours of the plain change in every season, especially when the famous Castellucio lentils are blooming in blue and purple colours at the end of June.
The variety of wild flowers is amazing.
