Driving the few kilometres from Montepulciano to Pienza gives you enchanting views over the Tuscan countyside. Although quite touristy, Pienza has still preserved it's charm and who can resist to buy a good piece of the famous local Pecorino cheese !
Just outside of Pienza is the monastery of Sant'Anna in Caprena, which is known for its beautiful frescos in the dining hall.
