On Easter Monday the famous cheese rolling competition (Ruzzolone) takes place in Panicale and various other towns in our area.The players wrap leather straps with wood handles around the cheese and send 4 kilos of pecorino cheese wildly down the curving street. The one who's cheese gets the futhest, wins. A very funny local event and an experience not to be missed !
